Key West is the Southernmost city in the continental United States. Longtime home to pirates and sailors, Key West can still get pretty wild. Every evening at sunset Mallory Square offers up street entertainers and artists, not to mention the fabulous Caribean sunsets. Tourists throng the streets and fill the bars to overflowing, buying memories of their vacation and partying 'till all hours of the morning.
Fantasy Fest in October is always a huge party, (parents beware) with all accomodations completely booked, in some cases a year in advance. Duval Street, the main drag, turns into one big street party - and it goes on for days. Kids love Key West in the daytime, swimming in the ocean, flying a kite, parasailing or renting a jetski at Smathers Beach, going riding with mom & dad in a rented 4 seat "Conch Cruiser" or maybe an outboard motor boat, or chillin' out in the game room at the hotel while mom & dad chill out at the pool bar. The whole family will enjoy riding the Conch Train, visiting the Historic Seaport, the home of Earnest Hemingway, the Key West Aquarium, the Key West Art & Historical Society or the Key West Lighthouse Museum. Enjoy a round of golf at Key West Golf Club, or get really adventurous and Sky Dive Key West! Hey, you're on vacation... Click here to check out the weather in Key West |
